Naughty List

This may sound harsh, but this is a teacher that is venting. I just spent time grading Exams of those who were able to use their notes. It was an OPEN NOTE EXAM... prior to today we spent more time 'copying' vocabulary and terms word for word from the overhead and they were able to use these on their exams. I then created an exam 'word for word' to the vocabulary given. You would of thought I gave a completely different subject test. I'm so disappointed.

Then today is the last day for my 1st period to turn in their work. I reminded them they needed to turn in their Color Wheel project. Instead of getting their work, they sit there and goof off and play on their devices. It's not until 20 minutes before the bell that I call out the kids that are still missing theirs that they finally scramble and get their work together.

Sorry for venting.

Short Grading Period

This Grading period just flat out stinks. Trying to cram 9 weeks of work into 6 weeks. uggggg

Grades will be updated tomorrow for our Progress Reports being sent out next week.

Art 1 will get a Catch-up day tomorrow to get their work done to get their grades up.
Today they are finishing up their Final Exam cheat sheets (foldables) They will be able to use these on their exams. If they didn't not get onto them what they needed during the 3 days we have worked on them, then they are out of luck.

Draw 3 and PreAP classes projects for Miss Owens is due tomorrow.

This week

Students are continuing their Sugar Skull projects in Art 1. These will be due tomorrow. They are to turn in their project along with their 2 brainstorm pages and a written summary describing their skull.

Draw 3 are still working on their Self-portrait Sugar Skull projects. I will let them know today or tomorrow on when these are due.

PreAP classes are working on their VASE projects. They are in the brainstorming part and will have a chance to start on them. They will have until the end of this week to work on them, then we will be beginning another project. Students will then need to come in on their own time to work on their projects, or take it home without messing them up.

Long time no Post!

I'm so sorry for not posting sooner. I've been having Wifi Internet issues and for some reason or another Blogger was blocked. Strangers things have happened.

Okay, so what's going on.
All classes are finishing up a Value Scale project. I will post pictures soon.
Art 1 projects are due today. My 1st, 2nd & 4th period's have earned the chance to redo/fix their previous project "Different Ways to Shade". So tomorrow after the PSAT test & Thursday, they will have that chance. My 6th period will have to come in on their own time to fix theirs. They lost their chance for not wanting to listen to me explain to them how disappointed I was in their grade. They will have other work to do instead.

I have posted grades today too, so students can see what they are missing. The end of this 1st 9 weeks in on October 24th!
